The investigators found in a review article of 102 studies, covering 121,437 infected COVID-19 patients, that hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and chronic kidney disease are risk factors for patients with COVID-19 infection. Furthermore, the results show that an elderly male with underlying diseases is more likely to have severe COVID-19.
