Objectives:
What is the rate of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) admission, mortality, morbidity and complications among patients with COVID-19?

Study design:
This review article included 37 studies with 32,741 participants.

Results and conclusions:   
The investigators found in 37 studies with 32,741 participants that the rate of Intensive Care Unit admission was 32% [95% CI = 26 to 38].

The investigators found in 37 studies with 24,983 participants that the pooled prevalence of mortality in patients with coronavirus disease in Intensive Care Unit was 39% [95% CI = 34 to 43].

The investigators concluded that approximately one-third of patients with COVID-19 admit to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with severity and more than thirty percent of patients admitted to ICU with a severe form of COVID-19 for better care die which warns the health care stakeholders to give attention to intensive care patients.
